Longboard Coloured Veneer

The colour is infused right through this veneer so that when sanded, it does not disappear.

Please be aware that the grain density in the veneer accepts the dye differently, so there can be noticeable variance in the colour when sanded.

Note:

These sheets are not sold separately- order a minimum of 7 sheets or along with another Longboard maple veneer pack.

We cannot ship these sheets singularly as they will easily bend and crack in shipping.

Colours currently available:

Green, yellow, orange, pink, purple. 

Sheet quality:

These sheets are CORE or FACE grade and can have knots and blemishes/markings.

How to use this product:

Dye-infused colour sheets can be used for top, bottom and internal sheets of a skateboard or other laminated projects.

Glue as you would your other veneer sheets.

A colour sheet on the graphics side of a board makes a great base for your design. A colour sheet (or a few) as inside layers of a board make for an interesting side detail, especially when wheel-wells are sanded into the layers.

Maintenance:

Any loose dye may rub off on your hands and clothing, some colours more than others, so protect yourself, your clothes and your work surface when using. Veneer expands and contracts with moisture.

Keep your veneer stored away from heat sources and lay it flat.

If your work area is very dry, keep your unused veneer sealed in plastic (a bin bag will do) until you are ready to use it. Until it is laminated together, veneer sheets are prone to splits, especially the cross grain sheets.

Handle them with care, but if any sheets do split, they can be repaired with glue and masking tape.
