Natural Veneer Strips Pack

A pack of 50 strips of maple veneer

Have you ever thought of making small project like keychains, jewelry, ornaments or marquetry? Then this product is perfect for you!

These sheets are sized at around 92 cm x 8 to 10 cm (36,2 x 3,15'' to 3,9'') and are ideal for building small projects of all shapes and sizes. 

Our maple is from an SFI certified mill and grown in the north, where the very long and very cold winters mean the trees grow very slowly. Tight growth rings mean denser wood veneer.

Each pack includes:

• 50 assorted sheets of maple veneer
• Each sheet is around 36,2' long x 3,15'' to 3,9'' wide x 1/16' thick (92 cm x 8 to 10 cm x 1.58 mm)

How to use this product:

Trim pieces with a heavy matt knife.

We recommend using a Thin Air Press vacuum bag to laminate your creative projects with this box of veneer pieces.

With Titebond III and your imagination, glue up your designs as flat shapes, or bend them over a mold inside the TAP bag. By assembling several 1/16' layers of veneer, you will be able to create radical curves and build many neat projects.

Maintenance:

Until they are laminated together, veneer sheets are prone to splitting, especially cross band sheets. Handle them with care.

• if a sheet is split or broken, not to worry these sheets are entirely useable and will not effect the quality of your board. Simply apply glue to those lines while pressing your board. Once dried, the board will be very strong.
• if the sheets are warped/wavy (often due to temperature changes during transport), once put under press, these thin and flexible sheets will easily flatten out.
