1) So Daniel, can you tell us a little about yourself, where do you come from ? Where\u00a0do you currently live ? What do you do ?<\/h3>\n

My name is Daniel Krismer, age 31, since I was born, I live in Kufstein, that\u2019s\u00a0a nice small town in Tirol\/Austria. I\u2019m married and proud daddy of 2 lovely\u00a0kids. I love to ride motorcycles and play guitar. I was skating for fun since I\u00a0was a little boy, trying new tricks with my friends at the park, now I enjoy\u00a0more cruising around than doing tricks.<\/p>\n

2) We understand you have recently started building skateboards, how did this come\u00a0about ? Any particular reasons ?<\/h3>\n

I love to work in my workshop, no matter what to do, to fix something or\u00a0rebuild an old motorcycle. Last autumn I kept an eye out for a new winter\u00a0project.\u00a0With my motorcycle students, I spend a lot of time on the parking lot\u00a0to\u00a0do some basic excercises. To get throw the exercises I use a skateboard, a\u00a010 year old 7,5 Minilogo with independent trucks and monster wheels.\u00a0After a thousand scratches and a realy bad griptape, I decided that it\u00b4s\u00a0time for a new one. I surfed the internet and then \u2026.from Skateshop \u2013 to\u00a0google diy skateboard \u2026 and 5 hours later .. I had a new winter project.<\/p>\n

3) You have launched a facebook page for \u00ab KriD Strassenbretter \u00bb\u00a0(@skateboards4fun), can you tell us about it and how it is going so far ?<\/h3>\n

Last November I pressed the first decks, and the results were wow. I\u00b4d\u00a0never thought that I could build a skateboard like that. It\u00b4s currently a great\u00a0hobby, I can do it alongside my family, when my kids go to bed, I go to my\u00a0workshop. A few month ago I decided to publicise my boards. Therefore\u00a0facebook is the perfect platform. It\u2019s not my goal to earn livelihood, but to\u00a0create a customized skateboard is really cool, but I cannot use so many\u00a0boards on my own, so I decided to sell them. The feedback is great and the\u00a0feedback is motivation to go on.<\/p>\n

4) You use the\u00a0Roarockit \u00a0Thin air press to build your decks, how\u00a0did you come across us and how do you find it so far ?<\/h3>\n

A friend of mine builds skis and he presses also with a vacuum press. I\u00a0searched online for vacuum bags and alternatives. After a few hours of\u00a0reaserch I found your homepage. And the first order was done.\u00a0I only use your thin air press. I like it to build my own molds and go to the\u00a0timberdealer to look after the right veneer. Usually I use european maple\u00a0and ash.\u00a0Your vacuum bags are amazing. The material is hard-wearing and\u00a0longlasting. It\u00b4s a really great idea to press without an expensive vacuum\u00a0pump. Thank you for a great product like that.<\/p>\n

5) Any future projects or plans with \u00ab KriD Strassenbretter \u00bb (@skateboards4fun) ?<\/h3>\n

My next project is to get a straight line throw my boards, find my style. I\u00a0just start out on my sk8boardbuilder career, \u00ab lol \u00bb. In addition I have another new project : a powder-surfer . Hopefully I can show you the results in\u00a0the near futur .<\/p>\n

It’s amazing, how quickly an idea becomes a passion. I hope that I can\u00a0build many skateboards in the futur.<\/p>\n
